Roethlisberger Retiring??

Pittsburgh Steelers QB, and future Hall of Famer Ben Roethlisberger is reportedly contemplating retiring from football.

If this winds up happening, this would put the Steelers in an awful place.  Landry Jones is the only viable backup the Steelers have and it's very unlikely the Steelers would turn the keys over to a career backup QB. Let's not forget that RB Le'Veon Bell is a free agent in March and the Steelers would also like to sign WR Antonio Brown to a long-term contract.  Bell is likely to be saddled with the franchise tag, but does anyone think Brown would be ready to sign a long-term deal if Roethlisberger retires??

The Steelers might get lucky and have one of the top QB's in the 2017 draft fall in their lap when they pick 30th in the 1st round.  One thing that is highly unlikely to happen, though quite intriguing if it did, is the Steelers mortgaging the future by moving up in the draft.

Could you imagine if the Steelers made a trade with the Browns for the top pick in the 2017 draft??
